Redevelopment of Garden of Five Senses

In the series of making the capital City of Gardens, Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena visited the Garden of Five Senses and took stock of the redevelopment works of the Garden. Directed to complete the works within 6 months, these works were likely to be completed by October 2024.

Under the redevelopment works, people will get easy access to the garden, making proper arrangements for public facilities, upgrading the e-cart and art installation, landscapes, arranging for solar power electricity, arranging for new water harvesting, and modernizing the disposal of garbage. To make arrangements for online tickets for entering the park and proper arrangement of CCTV cameras is to be made.

Instruction to make herbal garden- During this, LG praised the unique concept for the aesthetic appeal of the garden and also asked the officials to build a dedicated herbal garden on the lines of Arogya Van, as around the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. Thousands of ornamental flowers and exquisite and rare medicinal plants have been planted.

Instructions for arranging beekeeping– In view of the abundance of flora in the garden, LG also instructed to make arrangements for beekeeping in the garden. The role of bees in the ecosystem will also be known, along with this, LG has given special instructions for cleaning the edges of the garden.
