Ruby Sinha brings organic farming revolution to Rajasthan
Jaipur: Ruby Sinha, a progressive woman farmer from Rajasthan, has made her name in the field of organic farming. Hard labour fetched success; currently, she has been doing organic farming on 10 acres of land. Her annual turnover reached up to Rs 50 lakhs. Her inspiring story has promoted environmental sustainability, brought new concepts in agriculture, and empowered women farmers. She has grown varieties of fruits and other plants through organic methods.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra gave her some tips in 2006 about organic farming methods. Since then, she ventured into organic farming to protect human health and the environment from dangerous pesticides. Ruby’s husband always stands beside her. They founded Kisan Club Khatwa, a platform from where she started spreading awareness about organic farming.

Ruby planted 10,000 trees on her farm to improve the ecological balance. She set up Rajasthan’s largest vermicompost unit in 2008, with the support of NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development).
She has been successfully using organic fertilizers such as Jeevamrut, Panchagavya, and Dashparni Ark on her farm, improving crop quality, and encouraging farmers of the region to go for chemical-free farming. She transmits her knowledge to farmers and agriculture students on how to use organic farming techniques. Inspiring others to shift towards sustainable farming.
Ruby Sinha’s success story is an example that determination and willingness always bring dividends. Her efforts have brought a ray of hope for rural communities about increasing their income. At present, numerous farmers are following her footsteps and embracing organic farming, providing health and spreading greenery all over the region.
