Chapra: Farmers of Saran district in Bihar are now concentrating more on the growth of fruits and vegetables on a large scale along with cash crops, and this has helped them to earn a hefty amount. One of the farmers, named Vishnu Prasad Singh, after getting training from agricultural experts, planted G9 variety bananas, and he got the government subsidy for this. Currently, his income has gone beyond his thinking.
The feature of the G9 banana is that the tree and fruit both become of gigantic size. After ripening, the taste of bananas is very delicious, which attracts the customer to purchase and enjoy such kinds of bananas. It also fetches them a good amount in the market. Therefore, several farmers in Saran are attracted to grow this variety to earn a good amount.
Vishnu Prasad Singh stated that in the beginning he had no knowledge about the G9 banana, but after getting training, he knew about its benefits. Earlier, farmers were not planting such a banana in Saran due to a lack of proper awareness, but the moment he started growing it, others started following his steps.
The size of the G9 banana increases, and cultivation doesn’t cost much. The most important point is that the Bihar government has been providing a subsidy that really helped the farmer in saving their money. In fact, banana growers don’t need to spend a huge amount but earn massive profit after selling them. Therefore, more and more farmers are becoming aware of the G9 banana variety and choosing to grow it.
