Serious discussion on Nursary industry related issues took place at the annual convention of the National Executive Committee of the INA
Held at a banquet hall on Chilkana Road on Sunday, May 26, 2024, the convention witnessed a wide discussion on the problems faced by farmers and businessmen associated with the nursery industry. Additionally, there was a contemplation on the potential challenges the nursery industry might encounter in the future, how to overcome these issues, and how to enhance the future prospects of the millions of people involved in this industry. The convention emphasized the need for effective steps from the government to address these issues.
Furthermore, the convention highlighted the importance of organizational reforms, leading to the formation of the Saharanpur Mandal Chapter with Mr. Khalid appointed as its chairman. Attention was also drawn to the prevalent issues in the nursery business at the grassroots level.
The convention began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries including the National President Mr. Y.P. Singh, National Secretary Mr. Mukul Tyagi, Joint Secretary Mr. Mukesh Sharma, National Executive Committee members Mr. Ghalib Khan, Mr. Mehar Alam Khan, Mr. Ashok Yadav, and Uttar Pradesh Chapter President Mr. Rafiq Khan with floral tributes and books.
During the discussions, prominent speakers shed light on issues such as electricity supply in nurseries, oppression in the licensing process, and provisions in the Model Nursery Act that pose serious problems for nursery businesses, urging vigilance and proactive measures for their resolution in the future.
Mr. Y.P. Singh, the National President, stressed the need for unity among those associated with the association to address their problems effectively.
In conclusion, the formation of the Saharanpur Mandal Chapter with Mr. Khalid as the chairman, Mr. Maan Singh and Mr. Anil Kumar Malik as secretaries, and Mr. Rajneesh Bandhu as the treasurer marked the successful culmination of the annual convention of the Indian Nurserymen Association’s National Executive Committee, which remained dedicated to fostering unity once again.
