Strong wind keeps Delhi’s air quality ‘moderate’

New Delhi: The air quality of Delhi remains in the moderate ‘category’ for the third consecutive day. Strong winds are blowing that have kept the pollution levels under control. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 158 at 8 am this morning (February 15), as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Delhi residents experienced a sigh of relief on February 14, when AQI recorded at 131.

Current weather is favourable for the national capital to mitigate pollution levels; a spell of strong winds has been aiding in clearing the pollutants. As per the forecast, it is likely that strong wind will continue today, keeping the air quality better. However, the wind speed is expected to be slowed down on February 16, which may once again put the pollution levels in the ‘poor’ category.
