Tips for taking caring of indoor plants

Here are some suggestions for maintaining indoor plants:

  1. It is important that plants receive enough light– The most crucial factor for indoor plants is that they receive sunlight, or light that suits their demands. You can choose an appropriate location to maintain the indoor plant based on how much sunlight it needs. The plant should be positioned close to the window.

Some indoor plants may survive with less light. Keep these kinds of plants where they can receive an hour of direct sunshine per day. Keep certain plants where they can receive at least two to three hours of light daily because they need some bright sunlight. Keep indoor plants that require adequate light and sunlight in a location where they can receive light at least 4 to 6 hours per day.

  2. Water indoor plants at the right time- Plants need to receive the right amount of water at the right time to stay green. Each plant may have a distinct water need. Some plants may only require watering twice a week, whilst other plants require daily watering. You provide water to your plant as needed. Remember that if you give your plant additional water, the roots could rot and the plant could die.

Don’t allow the plant’s soil to become dry. Maintain the soil’s moisture level. Check the soil’s moisture level. If soil is damp, wait for a couple of days and water the plant. To care for indoor plants in pots, always use fresh water. Water that is too cold can harm the plant. Do deep watering of the plant once a month, so that the layer of salt does not settle in it.

  3. Fertilize indoor plants on time- It is vital to fertilize indoor plants once every two to three weeks to prevent diseases and nutrient deficiencies from developing in them. You can put organic manure, vermicomposting manure, or liquid fertilizer in it for this. You must combine liquid fertilizer with water before giving it to plants. Using a spray bottle or watering can, apply the fertilizer mixture to the plant.

  4. Clean any dust on plants- Remove any dust from the plant. Your indoor plants’ leaves may accumulate a layer of dust over time, which may block the pores in the leaves and impede their growth. Therefore, you need to occasionally clean plant’s leaves for healthy indoor plant development.

There are two methods for cleaning the leaves: Wipe the plant’s leaves gently after soaking the clean towel in water. A spray bottle can be used to clean the leaves as well. You can also utilize a variety of cleaning sprays that are sold on the market.

  5. Keep the plant away from constant wind- Indoor plants’ leaves might become dry with repeated air exposure. Because indoor humidity is lower than outdoor humidity, plants may dry out. In addition, the air from a heater or air conditioner can harm the plant.
