Tata Steel hosts 34th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show

Jamshedpur: The 34th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show is being organized at the ME School Ground in Noamundi. The gala show was inaugurated by Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson of the Horticultural Society Jamshedpur, on Thursday (January 16). Several other dignitaries, including Atul Kumar Bhatnagar, General Manager of OMQ Tata Steel, were also present on this occasion. Visitors get a chance to see some stunning flowers and vegetables during the event.

Crowds from Jharkhand and the neighbouring state of Odisha have thronged to see the variety of flowers and horticulture there. It is a boon for the people of all age groups, especially for the nature lovers, to enjoy and spend some peaceful time with nature. The show will also enhance the awareness among the people regarding horticulture and floriculture.

Several stalls have been established, displaying floral arrangements, bonsai, seasonal plants, vegetables, and medicinal plants. Organizers of the event have made adequate arrangements so that the show can pass away smoothly without any heckle. Several awards were handed to the winners in various categories, such as the Garden Competition (Bungalow Category), local farmers, school students, and horticulturists in the presence of distinguished guests.

In this event, 12 amateur gardeners and 24 institutions are taking part in categories like chrysanthemums, dahlias, potted plants, and sustainable creations. Roshan Singh, area manager of horticulture mine planning OMQ, emphasized the show’s purpose: “It celebrates not only the beauty of nature but also the creativity and hard work of gardeners and horticulturists.” Tata Steel OMQ Division has not only organized such an event but also encourages environmental and horticultural awareness.
