Tata Steel organizes 13th annual flower and vegetable show in Bokaro
Bokaro: The 13th annual flower and vegetable show got underway on January 3, 2025, at the Tata Steel Sports Complex in West Bokaro. The event is being organized by Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division. The three-day event has been displaying varieties of flowers, vegetables, and plants to attract the visitors. D.B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Raw Materials, Tata Steel, inaugurated the exhibition. Several senior officials, union leaders, and community members were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramam stressed Tata Steel’s commitment to fostering a sustainable and healthy environment, inspired by the wisdom of earlier generations. He praised schoolchildren for raising awareness about energy conservation and global warming during the event.

A total of 54 stalls have been set up by many institutions, vendor partners, and schools to draw the attention of the people. Besides the presence of local nurseries, several cultural programmes will also take place to unveil Jharkhand’s rich heritage. A huge number of people from all walks of life have turned up on the opening day to see the rare species of flowers and different kinds of vegetables. It is needless to add that the event is a boon for the nature lovers.
The purpose of the event is to bring the community together. Additionally, creating awareness about flowers, vegetables, and their sustainable practices. Visitors will get the knowledge and be encouraged to plant indoor plants to make the environment clean. The event will end with a grand closing ceremony on January 5.
On the opening day, senior Tata Steel officials, including Rajesh Chintak, Chief, HRBP, Raw Materials, and P.K. Tripathi, Chief, Raw Materials Technology Group, were present at the event along with union leaders, employees, and local residents.
