Telangana minister inaugurates workshop on innovative horticulture tech
Hyderabad: A grand Kisan Agri Show and a three-day workshop titled “Innovative Technologies in Horticulture Crops Production and Value Addition” got underway at the Hitex Convention Centre in Hyderabad on Friday. The event is being jointly organized by the Telangana Horticulture Officers’ Association, Kisan Team, and the State Horticulture Department. Agriculture Minister of Telangana Tummala Nageswar Rao inaugurated the show.
The main focus of the show is to transmit the knowledge of modern techniques to the farmers so that they can increase their production through easy methods. Several officials and prominent dignitaries were present during the event, including Agriculture Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Telangana Horticultural University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Danda Raji Reddy, Agriculture Director Gopi, Horticulture Additional Director Sarojini, and Joint Director Babu.

The minister appreciated the initiative taken by the state government in the introduction of modern techniques, benefitting farmers and increasing their livelihoods. He also assured that the government is set to expand the horticulture sector in the state, implementing numerous initiatives to boost horticulture yield to make Telangana self-sufficient in horticulture crops, aiming to increase production to export levels,” he said. He stressed that Horticulture and Agriculture Department officials need to work together to boost farmers’ skills as well as make them economically sound.
This event will certainly help to solve several farmers’ solutions, such as improving their produce and income with the help of the adoption of modern methods in the horticulture sector.
