Tourists flock to Ooty to enjoy vibrant flower show

Ooty: The Ooty Flower Show has become famous after the inaugural event. Currently, people are taking a lot of interest in events like this because they are replete with nature. Like the first, the second flower show got underway on Friday. The Nilgiris District Collector, Ms. Lakshmi Bhavya Thanneru, inaugurated this event at the Udagai government botanical garden.

With the beginning of the second season. It is expected that around 4.5 lakh flower plants of different species have been planted in the park, which has been enticing the tourists and nature lovers. In addition, 710,000 pots of different varieties are arranged. Besides this, 2,000 flower beds have been created to raise awareness, particularly among children who are currently stuck with their mobile phones.

The ongoing flower show will continue for a month, and it is expected that more than 2, 00,000 tourists will visit to see this eye-soothing and charming event. The Horticulture Department has given an open invitation to the public and tourists to come to the festival and enjoy this colorful spectacle.

Joint Director of Horticulture, Shibila Mary, along with Assistant Directors Babita, Anitha, and several other officials, participated during the opening of the event.

Previously, an exhibition of indigenous flowers as well as rare plants from around the world was arranged. Visitors enjoyed the musical shows and traditional dances during the event. Therefore, visit the botanical garden again and experience some beautiful flower displays.
