Urban residents to get training on vegetable farming
Hyderabad: The Horticulture Department of Telangana has been making consistent efforts to enhance vegetable cultivation in the state, particularly in urban areas. With an optimistic approach, the state government is eager to provide all kinds of support to citizens in growing vegetables to meet the rising demand. The department has organized a one-day workshop with the aim of giving training to urban residents on cultivating vegetables in limited spaces.
It is needless to add that the dearth of land in cities poses a severe challenge for the people to grow fruits and vegetables. However, experts are working to share valuable insights with both farmers and urban dwellers on how to efficiently grow produce in confined spaces.

The workshop will guide participants on how to make the best use of terraces, balconies, and other urban spaces to cultivate high-quality, pesticide-free vegetables.
Officials are hoping for a strong turnout and believe the symposium will provide a valuable opportunity for participants to learn techniques for maximizing the utility of small urban spaces. Those interested in attending the one-day training can register by paying a nominal fee of Rs 100.
