World Environment Day Celebration 5th June 2023
Indian Nurserymen Association (Delhi) organized an event on the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 at MCD Park, Begumpur Village, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. The event sponsored by Swami Kalyan Dev Foundation was focused on the children living in the nearby area so that they develop an interest in the subject of the environment. They know what the environment is, how to take care of it, and what our duties are. There were 250 children at the function. A project called Plant Parenting was also launched during the event where children were given saplings of tulsi and Kadi patta and were taught how to plant a sapling and take care of it. Their respective saplings will be assessed on the following environment day and the best plant guardian will be awarded for taking good care of it. More than 250 saplings were distributed at the function. Special thanks to Mr. Gautam Malhotra from Gardens Need and Yog Guru Pradip Pandey ji from Bhartiya Yog Mahasangh for being a part of this event who made the event a huge success with their cooperation.
Our chief guests, Shri Somnath Bharti ji (MLA, Malviya Nagar) and Smt Leena Kumar ji (Counsellor, Malviya Nagar), and Mr. Sarvesh Mishra ji, Honorary Director (Environment), INA grace the event. Shri Somnath ji addressed the children by telling them how can we plant trees and what can be done to save the environment. He told the children how they can make a difference in the society and how their efforts will change the world. Later he congratulated all the plant parents there and wished them luck. Ms Leena ji addressed the children and told them the harm of using plastic bags and urged them to use sustainable bags at home. She also focused on segregating the garbage in our homes.
From INA (Delhi), Mr. YP Singh (President), Mr. Mukesh Sharma (Joint Secretary), Mr. C. Gobinath (Treasurer) also graced the occasion with their presence.
From various part of the country INA celebrated the World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and sheer courage to help the environment in every possible way.
INA UP Chapter
The Uttar Pradesh Chapter and Meerut Mandal Unit of Indian Nurserymen Association celebrated World Environment Day at the twin towns of Shahjahanpur and Kithore in District Meerut located at National Highway 709 A (Garh Road) on June 5. Around 5,000 plant saplings were distributed.
The celebration was organised under the guidance of the UP Chapter President Mr. Rafeeq Khan by Meerut Mandal. Nurserymen of Shahjahanpur and Kithore and adjoining areas distributed decorative, medicinal and fruit plants including Tulsi, Jamun, Karhi Patta etc. free of charge to travellers and local people. Another free plant distribution program on this occasion was organised by Member of INA’s Governong Body Ghalib Khan at BrijGhat, Garhmukteshwar, District Hapur.
Glimpses of INA Haryana Chapter
Mr. Mukesh Sharma (Joint Secretary of INA) & Mr. C. Gobinath (Treasurer, INA) celebrated the world environment day at ACA center of Excellence Shahid Azad Dalal cricket ground Palam Vihar Gurgaon Haryana where they distributed around 200 saplings of tulsi & kadi patta among the young players. They were all briefed about the environment and our duties towards it. Youngsters are the future of the nation that must be taught about taking care of the environment.
Glimpses from Hapur
In Hapur, 1100 plant saplings were distributed among lawyers, judges and in the gaao’n Mahotsav which was being held at the railway park under the leadership of Mr. Mukul Tyagi (Gen. Sec, INA). Mr. K.C Tyagi ji was the guest.
Mr. Mukul Tyagi received a token of appreciation For INA’s remarkable work in the field of environment during an event organized by Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha where guests were Swami Chidanand Maharaj ji and Lt. Gen. Sardar Gurmeet Singh Ji.
