The A.G. Meeting of the Rose Society was held on 13th October, 2023 at IARI, PUSA. Addressing the august gathering, Saddy spoke about the history and glory of the Society. He spoke at length about how the Society came into being and efforts put in by late Dr. B.P. Pal and Dr. Sharat Ram. He also appreciated the contribution and financial support extended by Bharat Hari Singhania and horticulture officers of CPWD. He also congratulated Dr. Markandey Singh for taking over as head of Floriculture and Landscape Division of IARI.
Saddy further said, “I enjoy recollecting my recent visit to Greenways Nursery of YP Singh Ji and noting great collection of ornamental and indoor plants. All the plants both rare and common were very well maintained and attracted continuous attention. The other surprise for me has been going through the publication Nursery Today. Very well edited by experts of the well-known board members, the publication covers articles on various plants and one enjoys reading the same repeatedly.”
