December 25 holds great historical significance. On this day in 1861, Madan Mohan Malaviya, the only individual honoured with the title “Mahamana,” was born in Allahabad. It is also the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of India’s greatest statesmen known for his political vision, oratory skills, and poetry. Recognized as the “Father of Modern Indian Politics,” Vajpayee’s contributions earned him the Bharat Ratna, the nation’s highest civilian award.
The event was a fitting tribute to these two iconic leaders and their enduring legacy.
