Nirmal Kushwaha’s organic farming brings massive success
Kanpur: Nirmal Kushwaha, a 40-year-old farmer from Tusaura village in Kanpur, has been getting huge success with his dedicated organic farming. Coming from a family of farmers, he has above 20 years of experience in agriculture. He decided to continue his family tradition and concatenate on it. The progressive farmer has started farming on his 5-acre land, growing varieties of vegetables such as cabbage, capsicum, radish, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cauliflower.
His organic farming method has brought healthy production. He used all the modern techniques to boost yield. Besides this, he makes manure made from his buffalo waste and supplements it with organic manure from the market. This technique really helped him to grow more and more seasonal vegetables, fetching him handsome earnings.

Nirmal’s willingness to learn innovative techniques and then apply them on its farm brought success. He is a keen learner, watching YouTube frequently and reading newspapers to enhance his knowledge and frequently taking advice from agricultural experts. One of his major achievements has been the adoption of the Cross X-35 radish variety, introduced by Somani Seeds. This radish variety is being matured within 30 days and produces 20 to 25 metric tons per acre. He earned a huge profit in the first two years amid favorable market demand.
Currently, Nirmal Kushwaha has turned out to be a role model for the other farmers of the area. He has proved that sustainable farming can be both rewarding as well as profitable.
