Organic farming fetches huge income for Rajasthan farmer

Kota: A horticulture farmer from Rajasthan named Manoj Khandelwal has transformed farming into a huge profitable business amid his determination and innovative thinking. He got inspiration from his father, who belongs to an agricultural background. In the beginning he started growing vegetables, but he was not satisfied with his earnings. After that, he started concentrating on organic farming. Currently, he grows guavas, vegetables, and medicinal plants.

His guavas size is remarkable, weighing between 600 to 750 grams and giving him Rs 70 to Rs 100 per kg. The demand for his guavas is high in the market, especially in big cities like Delhi, Jaipur, and Kota, and they are even exported to global markets.

Manoj adopted modern technology and sustainable farming methods, which fetched him grand success in the horticulture sector. Currently, he has been producing high-quality crops at lower costs. His dedication has boosted his income, giving him recognition as well.

He mentioned the risks of monocropping and encourages farmers to aim for premium-quality produce to succeed in today’s competitive market. Manoj’s modern techniques have been fetching Rs 50,000 per bigha; his organic produce hit both the local as well as global markets. His successful journey inspires other farmers of his area.
