Mumbai: Three-day flower festival to commence from January 31
Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to organize its annual flower and horticultural exhibition from January 31 to February 2, 2025. The event is to be held at the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Garden and Zoo in Byculla. A huge number of Mumbaikars, along with the people from neighbouring states, are likely to take part in the event.
The upcoming event would be the 28th, and the flower festival will provide a chance for the city’s people to spend some time with a calm and natural environment. The festival is expected to display above 5,000 plants, including various species of flowers, fruit trees, and medicinal plants. Deputy Commissioner (Parks) Chanda Jadhav and Parks Superintendent Jitendra Pardeshi are supervising all the arrangements.

The organizers have left no stone unturned for the successful arrangement of the forthcoming event. All the preparations are being done on a war footing. Previous editions of the festival ended with grand success, where several eminent personalities like ambassadors from Japan, Malaysia, Canada, and Mauritius, as well as distinguished figures like Additional Chief Justice Manjusha Deshpande, actors Ranjit and Pawan Malhotra, and cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar visited the event and took keen interest.
Stalls are being set for the floral displays; the festival will feature selling gardening supplies and fertilizers and arranging catering for both public and VIPs. The BMC has given an open invitation to all Mumbaikars to attend and enjoy the three-day dazzling floral showcase, aiming to provide a peaceful environment with nature’s beauty.
