Hyderabad Airport organizes flower festival, PushpUtsav’25

Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) organized its first-ever horticulture show, PushpUtsav’25, on Friday. The three-day event will be concluded on January 12 (Sunday). The eye-catching event is being held at the Aero Plaza, Car Park Level, near the Passenger Terminal Building, and it was unveiled by senior officials from GHIAL. It is important for the authorities of airports to entice passengers and others with innovative initiatives.

PushpUtsav’25 has been trying to create a unique and memorable airport experience by displaying different varieties of flowers and plants to entice the passengers through the floral exhibition, showcasing several kinds of flowers such as chrysanthemums, dahlias, roses, bonsais, ikebana, and cut flowers. Nature lovers, families, tourists, and students have thronged in large numbers to enjoy the natural beauty.

Numerous competitions are being held in many categories, like flowering plants and floral arrangements. Several criteria have been established for the participants and winner, like cleanliness, plant health, number of blooms, and overall presentation.

Speaking at the event, Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GHIAL, said, “PushpUtsav’25 is not just about flowers; it’s about celebrating the harmony between nature and the airport environment. This event reflects our commitment to sustainability and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.”
